Lady Cardinals Struggle Against Lehman

Sophomore Sally Nnamani (Warwick/Warwick, NY) scored a game high 26 points to go along with nine steals and seven steals as Lehman College defeated York College 76-49 in CUNY women's action at the APEX Arena. Lehman (6-7 overall, 2-3 CUNY) held a 39-29 lead, before a pressure defense by the Lightning opened up the second half. Sophomore Monique Sampson (Cathedral/Bronx, NY) scored 14 points to go along with 11 rebounds, all in the second half for the Lightning, York (0-12, 0-5 CUNY) was led by sophomore Desirae Patton who finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds. The Lady Cardinals will take on Centenary tomorrow night in a non-conference match-up.
